    MISSING: Annette Christine McLaughlin – D.O.B. 08/22/1966, W/F, 5’5”, 115 lbs.

    Reported missing since 08/15/2019 by her adult children. Last phone conversation was on 08/22/2019 with an out-of-state family friend. Possibly last seen checking into a motel in the Imlay City, MI area on 08/15/2019 and staying till 08/17/2019.

    Annette drives a blue Ford SUV/Van license plate (CAL712). Her cell phone was unable to be pinged due to being turned off. We are exhausting all resources to find Annette. We are greatly concerned for the wellbeing of Annette.  Any information regarding the whereabouts of Annette McLaughlin would be greatly appreciated.

  • Armed Robbery Suspect

    Armed Robbery Suspect

    On Monday Aug 26, 2019, at 8:43 PM a 22 year old female of Chesterfield Twp was working at Claire’s located in the Waterside Marketplace. She was robbed at gunpoint by an unknown white male described as @ 30 years of age, 5’ 05”, 130-150 pounds, scruffy facial hair, wearing a gray hoodie, gray baseball hat, and gray sweat pants. The suspect entered the store and directed the victim to the cash register. He threatened her with the gun and obtained cash from the register. The suspect fled the store in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.

    The case is currently under investigation. Please contact Detective Gates at 586-949-3304 if you can identify the suspect.

    UPDATE:

    Attached is a sketch of the Claire’s robbery suspect. The victim was able to describe the suspect to Michigan State Police Lt. Krebs and a sketch was completed.

    Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

    UPDATE:

    Chesterfield Township Police arrested the TCF Bank robbery suspect and an accomplice, today at 11:00AM in the area of 23 Mile Rd and Seaden Rd.

    On a hunch, Chesterfield Detectives were surveilling the area of the TCF bank, with information the suspect was in the area.

    The suspects were located walking along 23 Mile Road.  Chesterfield Police Detectives made contact with the suspects, and a short foot chase ensued.

    One suspect was quickly arrested and the other was located and arrested moments later hiding in an adjacent business. 2 firearms were recovered.

    Both suspects are black males in their early twenties and both from Detroit MI.

    Both suspects are currently being held at Chesterfield Township Police Dept and will be formally arraigned next week.

    On 08-22-19 at approx. 10:00am the unknown suspect shown below robbed the TCF Bank in the area of 23 Mile Rd. and DW Seaton Rd. The suspect fled the bank on foot. A note was produced and no weapon was observed only implied. The investigation is continuing if anyone can identify the suspect please contact Det. Dawidowicz at 586-949-4265

    17-Year-Old Arrested For Home Invasion

    On 07-28-19 at 7:00PM, Chesterfield Police Officers arrested 17 year old, Steven Brenton of Port Huron. He was arrested minutes after stealing a bicycle from a garage attached to an occupied home in the 23 Mile Rd and Baker Rd area.

    A Chesterfield Police K9 unit, with other Chesterfield Officers and New Baltimore Officers, tracked Brenton to the area of Huntley Ave and Rivard St in New Baltimore, where he was taken into custody without incident.

    Brenton was arraigned on 07-29-19 at 42-2 District Court on the charge of Felony Home Invasion. He is currently lodged at the Macomb County Jail with a $5,000 bond.

    On June 27, 2019, an unknown male suspect went into a local business located in Chesterfield and attempted to charge $3,000 in air conditioning equipment/merchandise to another company’s business account. The business determined the suspect was not with the company and denied the purchase. The male fled the scene in a white Chevy Silverado.

    On 07/04/2019 at approximately 0430 hrs. in the morning, this unknown subject entered a residence through an unlocked sliding backdoor on Burlwood Dr. near 23 Mile Rd. and Donner.  The subject observed in the photos made off with jewelry and wallets.

    Before the waters rise…..Prepare!

    • Move all items on the lowest level off the floor and up above the potential water depth. (2-3 feet)
    • Video record or photograph your home and the contents for a possible insurance claim.
    • Contact your insurance agent and ask about flooding.
    • Un-plug electrical appliances not being used in the low areas.
    • Obtain and fill sandbags. (see the townships web site on locations)!
    • Consider pumps for dewatering.
    • Shut off circuit breakers to low areas of your home not being used such as the basement, crawl space, and outside outlets.
    • Relocate animals and crates or Kennels to high ground.
    • Secure valuables and important documents in waterproof containers.
    • Gather up valuables that you will need/want if you have to leave your home.

    After the water rises……Act!

    • Do not enter water unless you are sure that the power is off.
    • Wear rubber boots with good traction. Be careful of wet uneven ground.
    • Use rubber or plastic gloves if working or de-watering.
    • If standing in water for more than a few minutes, be aware of Hypothermia. Cold water can reduce your body temperature.
    • Do not run gas powered pumps, fans, or generators inside of a building. Carbon Monoxide gas from the fuel can kill.
    • Do not let power cords for pumps or tools contact water.
    • Flood water should be considered contaminated. Wash and disinfect all surfaces and tools that come in contact with flood water.
    • Be sure to wash / shower or bathe after contact with flood waters.
    • Dispose of any food and or medications that come in contact with flood waters.
    • Clothes, toys, cloth surfaced objects that come in contact with flood waters should be thoroughly washed, or disposed of.
    • Furniture, carpet, padding or any “sponge Like” items that have been in flood waters may need to be disposed of.
    • Wear a life jacket or PFD if working in or near flood waters.
    • Never try to walk through fast moving waters.
    • Never drive through flood waters.

    On 04/14/2019 at approximately 1:45am, an unknown individual entered a residence on Baker Rd. near 23 Mile Rd. The subject is observed on surveillance video, and was described as a white male with long hair in a pony tail down to his mid back. While inside the residence the subject stole multiple items.

    As a community, let’s rally together to identify and catch this criminal before it becomes a more widespread issue!  Please share this post to your social media pages, in hopes that someone is familiar with this individual.  Also, if you’ve got a home security system and live in the nearby area – check your footage!  There’s a chance that you may have this suspect on your outdoor cameras.  We encourage you to register your system in our C.O.P. Program. In doing so, we may contact you in the future if there is a potential that you may have a suspect on your footage.  Even after registration, your participation upon request is completely voluntary.

    Multiple B&E Incidents This Past Weekend

    Over the weekend of April 5th, 2019, the Chesterfield Township Department of Public Safety responded to 3 reported B&E’s in subdivisions.

    The 1st B&E was the in an area north of 23 mile, west of Sass. The suspect in the 1st B&E enters an unlocked vehicle and used the garage door opener (left in the vehicle) to open the garage and enter the residence.

    The other 2 B&E’s occurred in an area north of 23 Mile, east of Baker Road. In those 2 B&E’s, the suspect entered the residences through unlocked door walls. The suspect appears to be the same person in all 3 B&E’s.  (See the related security video.)
