    Salt River Nature Center Vandalized

    CRIME ALERT: Salt River Nature Center on Hooker Rd. was vandalized on three occasions by three different suspects. All three incidents occurred on June 9th between 5pm and 10pm. These offenses include uprooting potted flowers, riding a dirt bike through the flower beds, and kicking over a flower pot spilling the flowers and dirt.     In recent weeks, an unknown male subject broke into AT&T stores in both Chesterfield and in Richmond. Several phones and bluetooth speakers were stolen in the process.   The suspect is believed to be possibly driving a 2008 Acura TL.

  • Suspects Sought in Shooting Altercation

    Suspects Sought in Shooting Altercation

    On Thursday Sept 10, 2020 at 8:13 PM Chesterfield Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Gratiot Ave and Carriage Way Dr. The dispatched run was for multiple reports of gunshots fired. Construction workers from across the street heard a couple arguing from inside a black car parked in a nearby parking lot. They yelled at the male to leave the female alone. The male stepped out of the car and walked towards the construction workers and began shooting at them with a handgun. Fortunately nobody was hit by the gunfire. The male stepped back into the black car with the female and fled the scene.

    The identities of the male and female suspects are unknown. The Chesterfield Twp Detectives are currently investigating this shooting. If anyone has information about this shooting or knows the identities of the suspects please contact Detective Lee at 586-949-3426.

    Breaking & Entering Suspect ARREST

    UPDATE: An arrest has been made in connection with the May 13th B&E of the Gulf gas station at Gratiot & 22 Mile.  J.R. Pennington, a 39 year old man from Warren, was developed as a suspect via the hard work of the Chesterfield Township Police Detective Bureau.

    He has been arraigned by the 42-2 District Court on the charge of Breaking and Entering a business, and is currently being held on a $25,000 bond at the Macomb County Jail.

    On 05/13/2020 at approximately 4:30AM, the Gulf Gas Station located on Gratiot near 22 Mile Road was broken into.  An unknown subject entered through the business after breaking the glass front door.  The subject got away with an unknown amount of lottery tickets, cigarettes, and cash.  The subject left in an older style Ford Super Duty pick-up truck.  The subject was observed wearing an Adidas sweater and a Detroit hat.

    Attempted Robbery Suspect

    On Mother’s Day May 10, 2020 at 7:30 PM, a 60 year old Fair Haven resident was robbed in the Kroger parking lot located at 35000 23 Mile Rd in Chesterfield Twp. She was loading groceries into her car when an unknown male approached her and demanded her groceries and her money.

    The suspect struggled with the victim, eventually stunning her with a stun gun. The suspect fled Kroger westbound on 23 Mile Rd. The victim described the suspect as a tall and slim male, possibly Hispanic or a light skinned black male, with dark eyes and dark hair. He was wearing dark clothing and a black or grey face mask. The victim estimated the suspect’s age as in his 30’s to 40’s. He was driving a burgundy minivan possibly, a Chrysler Town and Country.

    On 1/26/2020 at 1:30 hours, at a local bar in Chesterfield Township. The suspect took victim’s beer by the pool table and drank it. The victim confronted the suspect about taking his beer. The suspect punched the victim 2-3 in the face, injuring the victim.

    Suspect: Black male, beard, glasses, approximately 6-0 to 6-3 in height, wearing black jacket with white stripes.

  • First State Bank Robbery Suspect

    First State Bank Robbery Suspect

    UPDATE: 

    This subject has confessed to Chesterfield Twp Police Detectives to the First State bank robbery. He is in custody and is currently in the Macomb County Jail.  The investigation is ongoing.  The suspect will be identified once an arrest warrant is authorized and the suspect is arraigned on the criminal charge of bank robbery.

    The First State Bank located at 53950 Gratiot Ave was robbed today just before noon. An unknown race or age male entered the bank wearing clothing that hid his identity (see photo below). The suspect fled the bank on foot with an unknown amount of cash. No weapon was seen but the suspect implied he had a gun.

    Nearby L’Anse Creuse Schools were locked down for a short period of time. The lock down was released once Chesterfield Police Officers insured the suspect was no longer in the area.

    On 10/29/2019 at approximately 2:20 pm, two subjects were observed approaching the Chesterfield Market located at 52050 Gratiot Ave. from the east.  The subject wearing the white mask was observed on CCTV to enter a parked vehicle, owned by a customer in the store.  The customer confronted the subject, who was then observed to pull a gun on the victim,  and then flee the scene.

    SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:

    • Suspect #01- Black Male wearing black pants, a black/white hoodie, black shoes with white laces and a white face cover.
    • Suspect #02- Black Male wearing red pants, a black hoodie, black and white shoes, with a possible beard.

  • Bank Robbery Suspect

    Bank Robbery Suspect

    On 10-16-2019 at 2:35 PM the Fifth Third Bank located at 47000 Gratiot Avenue was robbed. The unknown black male suspect fled the bank on foot with an unknown amount of cash. Officers from the Chesterfield Township Police Department, including the K9 unit, searched the area of 21 Mile and Gratiot for the suspect -but were not able to locate him. The Chesterfield Township Police Detective Bureau and the FBI are currently investigating this bank robbery,  as well as the previous bank robbery that occurred in Chesterfield Township at the Citizens Bank on 10-2-2019.
