    SUSPECT: Possibly a thin black male, with a light complexion, wearing a hooded jacket.

    LOCATION: 34500 block of Lakewood, Chesterfield Twp., Mi.

    2On Saturday morning (09-17-2016) residents woke to discover that unknown suspect/s had entered their unlocked Florida room, while they were sleeping, and had stolen their flat screen television and cable box. The homeowner later checked his home surveillance video and discovered he had captured a small portion of the incident at approximately 3:58 a.m.

    The Chesterfield Township Police Department is attempting to identify (2) white females that are responsible for (2) separate retail fraud thefts of merchandise worth a total of $2783.00. The incidents occurred on 08/11/16 and 08/14/16 at the Chesterfield Menards. During both incidents, the suspects left the area in a waiting tan/brown SUV (possibly a Chevy Trailblazer).     CRIME: Thefts from unlocked vehicles and open garages.
    LOCATION: Chesterfield Township neighborhood bordered by Lakewood, Jerome, Secluded Ct., and Helmandale.

    During the Holiday weekend, from Thursday evening (5-26-16) through Sunday morning (5-29-16), several Chesterfield Township residents fell victim to nighttime thieves who targeted parked unlocked vehicles, and open garages. There was a total of (13) separate incidents reported over the weekend. Among the items reported stolen were phones, I-pads, cash, jewelry, and power tools. A residents security cameras outside of their home did capture one of the suspects and she is described as a white female in her twenties with shoulder length light brown or blonde hair. Investigators have yet to identify her.

    Anyone with information regarding these thefts is urged to call the Chesterfield Township Police Department at 586-949-2322. We would also like to remind the residents and guests of Chesterfield Township to remove any valuables from your vehicles when unattended and make sure the vehicle is locked up. At night simply lighting up the exterior of your home and double checking to make sure your garage and shed doors are shut and locked will greatly reduce the chances of you becoming a victim to such crimes of opportunity.

    The Chesterfield Police Department is currently investigating a larceny complaint. The larceny occurred on 04-18-16 around 10:15 am at the McDonalds located at 28230 23 mile rd. The victims purse was taken after being left behind on accident. The victims credit card was used at several local businesses shortly after the theft. The suspect is a heavy set white female around 30 years old who is with a 3-4 year old white male child. Any information on the identity of the female please call Det. Delor at 586-949-3375.

    “Stranger Danger” Suspicious Incident

    SUSPECT: A white male, possibly in his 30’s or 40’s, 5’8” to 5’10”, heavy set, with dark hair and a trimmed beard.

    SUSPECT VEHICLE: Described as a clean, newer, black, (4) door car (unknown make or model) with an American Flag license plate on the front of the vehicle, and an American Flag sticker in the rear window.

    LOCATION: 33700 Hooker Road (Lottie Schmidt Elementary School), Chesterfield Township, MI 48047

    TIME: 3:45 PM (Monday, March 14, 2016)

    A 12 year old boy (and an independent adult witness who saw the encounter from a distance) reported that as he was walking through the parking lot of the Lottie Schmidt Elementary School, the individual described above pulled into the parking lot at a high rate of speed, exited his vehicle, and began walking towards the boy. As he neared the boy, he attempted to hand the boy a piece of paper and requested that the boy give the paper “to the principal”. The boy told the man that he didn’t attend the school and was just there to pick up his younger brother. The man then got back into his vehicle and left the parking lot.

    Although the unknown man never made any outright attempt to get the boy to go with him, this contact was suspicious in nature.     LOCATION: “Carlton Equipment” located at 48135 Gratiot, Chesterfield Township Mi. 48051

    STOLEN: “Bobcat” mini loader. (walk behind model)

    SUSPECT VEHICLE: Red Flatbed Truck, hauling a double axel trailer.

    bobcat1Owners of Carlton Equipment discovered that over the weekend (Feb. 5th-7th), unknown suspects entered the north side of the business yard via a hole cut through the cyclone fence. Surveillance footage captured an unknown suspect in a dark hooded jacket or sweatshirt removing the loader from the yard and a red flatbed truck hauling the loader away on a double axel trailer.

    SUSPECT: A white male, in his 30’s, average height, thin build, wearing a red stocking cap, blue hoody under a green jacket, dark pants, and light colored tennis shoes.

    LOCATION: The “Meijer” gas station located at 51095 Gratiot Ave, Chesterfield Township Mi., 48051

    meijer1On Tuesday morning (12-22-2015) at approximately 9:40 a.m., a lone suspect (described and captured in photo’s above) entered the Meijer gas station and walked directly to the cashiers counter. He held his hand in his jacket pocket and demanded money from the clerk, stating that he had a gun and that he had nothing to lose. The clerk handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of money from the register and the suspect fled on foot out of the front doors of the gas station and then towards the rear of the building. The clerk called 911 stating that she had just been robbed and multiple Chesterfield Township Police units responded and set up a perimeter around the area. After a lengthy search that included the assistance of a MCSD K-9 unit, Officers determined that the suspect had made good his escape and was no longer in the immediate area.

    meijer2Investigators believe that the suspect, after the robbery, removed articles of his outer clothing and entered the vestibule to the actual “Meijer” store which is located several hundred yards west of the gas station.   • Applebee’s Armed Robbery

    SUSPECT: (described as) A white male approximately 20 years old, average height and weight, wearing a dark “beanie” style cap, a dark bandana over his face, and a dark sweatshirt. He was armed with a hammer.

    LOCATION: Applebee’s Restaurant (27851 23 Mile Road, Chesterfield Township Mi. 48051)

    On Wednesday (12/09/2015) at approximately 2:15 a.m., Chesterfield Township Officers responded to a panic alarm at Applebee’s. Upon their arrival they learned from the lone female manager that she had just been robbed. She described the suspect and what had transpired, stating that as she was finishing up the closing procedures, she heard the “buzzer” to one of the locked rear doors sound and thinking it was one of the employee’s that had just left, she opened the door. To her surprise an unknown “masked” male holding a hammer pushed his way in and ordered her to produce money from the office. She handed him an undisclosed amount of money from the office and the suspect immediately fled back out of the same door he had entered through.

    Multiple Officers converged on the immediate area but were unable to locate the suspect. Chesterfield Township evidence technicians processed the scene and investigators are actively working this robbery.
